Hey bros!
I need quick help on this: I have an Aiwa TPR 945 opened up on the table with 8Ω speakers (originals) what happens if I put in some 4Ω’s speakers to replace them?

it will play ALOT louder -
but our tech members will advise you to use it gently---
or you will over-work your amp

Yes, it "could" overheat your amp circuitry...

:agree: Considering these are old I would stay away from adding stress like this to the amp. Yes it will work and it may do so for a long time but do you want to take the risk? :hmmm:

Replacing with 6 ohm speakers should work okay, but yeah, definitely stay away from 4 ohm replacements. ;-)
