Question For Those With Access To Ye Olde Boombox Database

I've been waiting, patiently, for my original radio to pop up over the last however many years and not seen it anywhere. I thought I might be able to at least track down a pic of it via the database as there are two features that might be useful search integers.

It was a little threepiece, very similar to the one pictured (which just popped up on ebay), but not quite. Definitely an AKA though, the button layout looks about right.

$_57.JPG

The real give away though is that red record button. If it's possible, can the database be searched for three piece and red record button? If it can I'm pretty positive it'd come up.

I'd be really happy to just see a photo at this stage.

Thanks very much.

Not to thread-jack... but I've noticed older threads from the search engine don't all work. I was wondering how to get to them as well. Is there a way?

I don't have access to the database but my brother used to have an aka of this box which was a Saisho.

Dixons was/is an electrical chain store in the UK, and Saisho was/is their own brand.

The box my brother had BITD was grey but other than the colour it was almost the same as the unit pictured. Even the red record button.

heya Floyd! It definitely wasn't a Sanyo aka unfortunately, that would've made life much easier.

It was definitely off-brand and super cheap, just like Saisho indeed Alan. This was rebadged as TDJ or something (I really can't remember) but it did have different graphics to the one pictures, I remember like a brownish with silver and then some like pin stripe pattern.

Anyway, we'll see what comes up! Thanks again guys.

Oooo that's even closer, Freddie!!

That platinum/goldy colour was definitley the same on mine. Slightly different details onthe speaker, and different graphics on the unit. But damned close! Thanks!
