I know ima rook still, but im still looking for a boomer and happened to come across a Lasonic TRC-931 but the corners seem round so I know it is the re-released version of the original one. But is there a real or big difference between the original and the re-released versions?  :hmmm:

The looks, little change in sound and of course not as many buttons!!!! But I have a minty 3rd Edition and love it :-)

Hey Bill, can you post up pics of the 2nd and 3rd editions?....It might help him with his decision process :-D

Musicnality#H&F,

Bill literally has them all....I'm not joking

I've never heard the 3rd... That said, if I were you, I'd gun for a 1st edition (because of the rarity compared to the 2nd or 3rd)
or the 2nd edition (because they're MUCH readily available on eBay and whatnot). Besides that, they've both got
the sharp corners that are universally accepted by fans of the TRC-931 and boombox owners in general.

In the few months I have had my 931 it quickly jumped to the top of my all time favorites list.
I haven't heard the third gen but I prefer the look of the squared off edges.

Anytime :-). Good luck on your quest. But as another topic on these large black boxes, having them shipped without transformer removal is dangerous. Trust me ;-)

Sammy.... I hate to give bad news, but the Band switch on the right side is turned way too far to the right. Be ready it might have a busted selector gear. Might be stuck on FM which isn't necessarily bad, but I like AM for my baseball games.

I could be wrong, it might be fine, but that's just what it looks like to me.

You are right Trippy1313, the guy did tell me that if he moves it off FM it is hard to get it back on to the station. So I will be addressing that, he was honest on that. Thanks for the keen Eye.
