I'll bet many of those quasars were intended for the non-US market. I've only seen a few of those here in the U.S. Rather, we probably have the Panasonic equivalents.

Didn't they mostly use the Quasar name for the kitchen products in America?

Hi-Actually Quasar is a Motorola brand! They made killer TV's!! Made in 60's-70's & I believe 80's.
I have never seen a Quasar boombox ever!! Rare!!
