Quality Parts (Who has them?)

Most of my cassette decks have made it 20 years with the original pinch rollers and belts before needing to be replaced. But now that I have had them replaced the "new" rubber parts seems to not even make it 2 or 3 years before needing to be replaced.

My question is, who sells good quality pinch rollers and belts that are as good as the originals and are not old stock with only 2 or 3 years left in them?

My JVC TD-W354 cassette deck is back in the shop again needing replacement pinch rollers adn it was just serviced 3 years ago. I remember when I picked it up I looked at the pinch rollers and they had crater impressions just like the surface of the moon instead of looking smooth and pliable. I didn't say anything and when I got home it worked great. Until now where they have gotten hard.

I take care using Tascam Rubber cleaner on my rollers. My walkman I've been doing this for 30 years and the rollers are still like new.

So what's up with that? I'd like to suggest a place for my repair tech to get my parts so I know they are a good quality and will last more than 2 or 3 years. Belts too please. I want new not new old stock.

Any help would be great. My cassette deck is a JVC TD-W354. I have heard of Terry's. Will his parts stay in good shape for many years?

Can't really say much, but I noticed a seriously cracked pinch roller on a modern JVC (maybe around 2005+) so it could be a common thing that newer rubber parts degrade faster. Also there could be some banned chemicals, that have kept the old rubber from degrading and aren't used anymore.

I'd say on many fronts, the old school know-how is clearly going to extinction, mostly because of simplified/streamlined mechanics (or absence of any) and heavy attention just in the data part of products in common.

Here is one from Slovakia who makes belts and pinch rollers himself, but it seems there isn't much products for boomboxes. Maybe some pinch rollers would fit.

"Q: How long do belts usually last?
A: Usually about 20 years. It depends on the amount of additives added during vulcanization process. I tried to avoid using too much additives for increasing the material elasticity, so I hope the belt will last longer. But who knows..."
"Pinch rollers are made from high quality material. The rubber hardness is also appropriate. You can replace the original rubber 1:1. Please, see the images, this is real photo.
About the price:
They're made in small amounts, the price per piece is high. Please, do not contact me for price reduction. This is the real price, that I had to pay for.
MY ROLLERS are NEW, maximum 2 years old. After 2 years, I will order new production."

Beware of Chinese rubber, a lot of it is soft garbage that hasn't cured yet and is still de-gassing. Someone at work bought one of those cheap Harbor Freight hand-trucks, and the rubber wheels on that thing could be smelled from 15 feet away for weeks.
