That is really cool!  That same project would have cost NASA $100 million.

Hmm... :hmmm:

I wonder if we could do the same thing with a boombox? Who will send the first boombox into space? :-)

reminds of the story about the russians when being asked by nasa how they solved the problem of getting a ball point pen to write in space in a zero gravity evironment.
nasa spent a lot of money coming up with the space pen in fact i think the total bill was in the millions.
when they asked the russians about this the russians just looked at the guy from nasa and asked why they didnt just take pencils..........

why they didnt just take pencils..........

Hahahahaha  It's always the most obvious things that elude us.

I was reading some of the comments on the incarus website. People are too scared and negative nowadays. They say that this info might get into the hands of terrorists! WTF. Ok, if it happens then what...... The'll have crappy pics of the curvature of the earth. Big deal. :annoyed:

Not knocking the expirament that was cool.

That is a very interesting idea. :w00t: That space box would be rated a much $$$ on the sale. :-)
But there is a small problem with flying boombox, that guys with the small canon camera do not need permission for a small weight (about 2 kg) from local air authority. For the boombox will need a special permission for sure. :-/

yep its pretty neat for sure.

people are pretty wierd when it comes to things to worry about.
yes there is many things to worry about.

the most important thing to worry about is not living your life out of fear of something bad happening. :-)
i mean if you are so fearful of everything beacause of the terrorists then out of default they have won by ruining ones ability to enjoy their lives.

i belive the best box for that space project would be a m90 blasting from outer space.

I was thinking about a blaster in space.... :hmmm:
I'm pretty sure it wouldnt work. There is no air to push to make sound.

That BEAR video is much better than still pictures. It seemed so peaceful at the edge of space.
