With all of this Pandemic and with many losing their jobs I’ve been seeing prices drop some. But the big Q is;i,it may not be to wise unless you have reserve cash!
I would love a couple but I will be lucky to get a couple of parts so I can finish fixing up one possibly to sell or to keep.
Just remember this may be months before things turn around!! Think before you pull any triggers!!
Plus clean it totally with cleaner if you get one including the box-everything!
Anything that comes into your home should be practically sterilized and cleaned, you never know who or where and who touched it!!😮😊😎🎼🎶📻😮

In the US, people are getting their tax refund, so it's going to be a few weeks before prices go down. But they will eventually. I suspect we'll be in a recession for 6-9 months at least. It's not just restaurant workers getting laid off.

Yes I hear this.Ive just noticed some are going down but maybe it’s because I haven’t looked in so long!
Good luck with your selling. I’m still trying to sell my 777Z.
I do hope things turn around by summer, this is hurting me inside seeing all this pain and people dying. I guess boomboxes can wait for a while. Just hope we all pull through this and stay healthy.😮😊

Well, I'm on unpaid furlough, but I wouldn't mind seeing a Panny 5350 for a nice low price.

My wife's a nurse so I'm not worried about her getting laid off.

When this is all over there will be a combination of recovery/penny pinching but a counter force of celebratory spending.

People gon be getting/ spending their stimulus checks too in the near future.

In a month, that money be gone. Unless they didn't give the feds their bank account info. So in two months, pricing should start coming down. When the money runs out.

Unless the world is back to normal.

I was checking ebay last night, and I don't see much of a difference in prices lately.
As for cleaning, the virus doesn't live forever. Just use gloves and put the package in quarantine for 9 days or so, 14 if you want to be extra careful.

A paper towel with a little soap and water on it should be enough, no need to use harsh chemicals. Soap takes off the proteins on the virus, making it ineffective.

I’ve noticed a slight drop in prices. I was able to pick up a couple of nice JVC RC-M60s for less than $300 total, noticing that other small to midsize box prices at modest levels as well. Prices for minis are also very affordable. Prices for the grails seems steady though. I’m constantly on the lookout.

I was just looking at a few models, but as far as Sharp or desirable models it seems there are a lot of expensive ones! So I may be wrong here, sorry.😮📻

Its becoming like you know stupid to buy a boombox on eBay.
I would rather find them in the wild or trade but **** eBay for buying a boombox .

Blowing stupid money on shipping its like getting bent over twice.

Been some crazy prices for a few radios in NZ this week. Tho our auction site was basically suspended for 5 weeks so I'm guessing people have pondered buying something for to long and have spare cash to burn now.

I find a lot of good boxes at good prices on eBay, you just have to put the time in checking for new listings very frequently and be quick off the mark...blink and you’ll miss that bargain BIN. I also sell on eBay and I sell decent boxes fully cleaned and refurbished. Haven’t sold any in a while as I’ve been busy with the new house but the sales will start again once the boombarn is up and running :-)
