This guy used a total of 33 priority mail envelopes to wrap my boombox.

Not only do I hate thieves, but none of these envelopes can be re-used, because he opened the flap of each one, to attach it to the next.

Is it really that difficult to buy bubble-wrap? Or re-use bubble-wrap that you received from someone else?

Yep they do indeed lead to the woofer. Of course only the left side of the slots are valid, the other half is just for style.

16 watts RMS is pretty impressive for a later 80s box that runs on 8 D cells. That upward firing speaker is cool. I remember from back in the day that there we some lower models in that range - yours looks to be the top model.

Yeah there are two of these amps in it:

OK, I have never seen that before.

Is that sub actually putting out noticeable bass?

Indeed. In fact the other speakers put out decent bass as well. Good separation too, since it's 26" long. Looks like the Gallactica.
