power supply hum

On my new find the sanyo 7900l when it's on the mains i hums!! it's not too loud but is still something i would like to cure I also have another box which does the same is this an easy fix???

When my wheely was doing this I took the transformer out and peeled off the metal casing that is around it. Then I applied high temp black RTV to the inside of that metal case and wrapped the transformer back into its metal case. No more hum/vibration ;-)

I've seen this before and replacing capacitors on the power supply board stopped it humming.

No need for pictures. Just change all the ones in the power supply. By the time you get this thing opened up and stripped down far enough to access the power supply, no sense picking and choosing. Since if one fails, the rest are not far behind. They are the same age, subjected to the same amount of use, same environmental exposure to voltage and heat, etc. etc.
