Evening everyone.
I don't live in the city anymore and often have to pay substantial shipping rates for goodies I find online. Looking at the size of some of the bohemoths proudly displayed on this forum makes me ponder what lengths collectors might go to.

What's the most you've ever paid for shipping on a boom box you just had to have?

Maybe I should make this a poll. What do you think?

Probably about $140 (maybe a little more) for a box from Tokyo, Japan to Philly, but that was because it was double-boxed with VERY heavy cardboard. :hmmm:

Dude im not in the city anymore too. Im sending and pickin boxes from the office every time which is extra fuel.(which reminds me i must go and pick up beater M70 now  ). The most money ive payed for shipping was 95 euro (around 131 dollars) for shipping 777 to UK in huge box from PA speakers. Sadly they opened the box at the customs and made a huge mess whit all. Good news - it arrived in one piece. But still im so pissed from my most expensive so far shipment. Looks like when you send in massive box the customs twats are thinking you are smuggling something  . And thats was between 2 EU countries  . The posting company say "sorry" to me but still bitter experience and was so close to get the mint 777 damaged  . Was sending 767 to Germany too but whit bus - same amount of money (like the post askin price) for drivers bribe, but perfect delivery  . And there is no way for me to send by post another huge monster anymore for huge amount of cash just the package to get f@ck up by customs :nonono:
