So, I bid on and won this Sony CFS 500 which should arrive any day now. The listing claimed that the box had some paint splatter on it. So, depending on how visible this is (not visible from the photo), this may be my first clean up box. My questions are 1) assuming there is some splatter, what could I use to remove it without damaging the box finish? and 2) I keep hearing people reference DEOXIT, what is this and what is it used for? Thanks guys... (ps. this would bring my collection to... drum roll: 2, not including the Lasonic iPod Boombox, which as this VERY moment is pounding out "Play At Your Own Risk" by Planet Patrol...

It's always great to have what a soldering instructor used to call "Non-destructive Tools." MCM electronics actually sells plastic ones. I just use wooden bamboo bar-b-q skewers. They work great for taking paint off plastic without damaging it.
Gotta get me some guitar picks...they sound really handy.
