It's a shame to see another American car company go.....Pontiac made some AWESOME cars! I have a 1957 Pontiac, and love it!!

oh - i so miss my 64 GTO =-tri-power 389
My dad had the 1965 GTO Tri-Power in dark green, but that was before I was born. Rumor has it that my mom intentionally blew up the motor in it because she was jealous of the car. Yeah, bless her heart, she's still a bit on the crazy side. :-/

They made some great cars, but ultimately, it had to go.

Personally, I never saw the reasoning for 3 or 4 versions of the same car - switching things around, changing the name and releasing it under a different maker like back in the late 70's and 80's with the Chevy Monte Carlo, the Buick Regal, the Oldsmobile (can't think of the name right now) and the Pontiac Grand Prix.

Is Mercury dead yet?

Even with all of it's faults (it had plenty) I still miss my 1968 Firebird with the rumpity rump cam, headers and dual pipes. :-D :'-(

Chris I have been wanting this exact one since I seen Smokey and the bandit at the drive in over 30 years ago :surf:  :breakdance: :breakdance:  :-D

You and me both!

One day my wife and I were sitting in traffic while they were working on the highway replacing a bridge over pass. As we sat there staring at our destination across a LONG gap in the roadway where the bridge used to be, I said "See Honey, If we had our TRANS AM we wouldn't have to wait, we could just jump the gap. That's why GM made them!"

It was followed with a moment of silence then...."Are you stupid?"

If I was going to buy a Trans Am, it would come from here: http://www.transamflorida.com/index.htm
