I guess it is self explanatory especially for us collectors with
more than 7-10 boxes.
Heck,I just started full rotation and with me using a
Boombox for 3 days and then going to the next one
and only using it for 3 days and so on I'll be done
in April,2014'!!!! :-O :w00t:  :surf:

I have been pulling a couple a day of shelf and jamming to them  Of course have to tweak a couple every once in a while. Today my Crown CSC850 needed the switches and pots cleaned because they are on top and the deck auto stop wasn't working so I cleaned the pinch roller real good and replaced one belt with a hair smaller one and she's back in business. Only took about 40 minutes ;-)

I always try to use something different....today, was working around the house. Got a guy over painting the exterior and he has a little portable playing the radio., I thought I would go out and help him and paint some of the trim so I had to pull out the Toshiba RT-200S.

I genuinely looked over my collection and had to ask myself "What am I doing today?". I didn't need to show off, I needed FM radio so we could be on the same station. (He was in the back yard, I was in at the front door).

A lot of times, if I am just going about day to day business, I'll use a smaller or less "Flashy" boombox. This little Toshiba was a real work horse today, I had it pumping at 2/3 max volume, Stereo Wide for about 5 hours straight just playing the local Rock station. I have nothing negative to say, it delivered clean full sound. PERFECT for the job at hand....of course I kept the paint FAR away from this radio

I adjust all the knobs & switches once or twice a month so they don't sit in the same spot and corrode

Yes sir i am definitely one for constant rotating. I use them for playing tunes from my laptop as well as doing the audio from my PS3.
Right now i have the FH-150R for my laptop (although i don't rotate this one it's a bit heavy and sounds too damn good) and the M70 for playing fifa. haha

No kidding!! :agree: :eek:fftopic: :eek:fftopic:

Now seriously-this is something that some of us serious collectors
may forget about.
This is needed to keep the belts somewhat pliable and keep your motor
oil and lubrication to keep them spinning freely and to keep your potentiometers
from getting staticky, use em' spin em' boom em'!! :choco: :breakdance:
Also using the cassette keeps the mechanisms moving freely and from
possible stickiness.

So on that word-rotate your boomers!!! :surf:  :-) :choco:

Ira needs to be rotated every so often... :w00t:

But yes...it is good to cycle any boomers you have to keep belts, strings, sliders, etc. in good working order. Plus the gears...in the rest position having any part that has remaning pressure on it will have some relief from strain, no matter how slight, on a constant point from lack of use.
