I pulled this out of my father in laws garage. Appears to be rare and weighs a ton. SK900 on the back.

Plugged in my phone with monster cable and the thing works. Any ideas how much this thing is worth?

General consensus is the value of the box is whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I'll give you 100 for it...

Why do you want to know what it is worth???????? :hmmm:
Are you going to sell it? :w00t:
Or are you looking for bragging rights? :dunce:
You know so you can tell your friends what you think it is worth so they oooh and ahhh at it..... :-O
That is usually the first thing newbies ask when they join here.
The answer is ALWAYS the same. :angelic:
It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
Nuff said.........

Actually, getting a bit nostalgic now that I'm playing with it. I can hear the tape deck moving (FF,REW, PLAY) but the tape doesn't move. what's the best way to start troubleshooting / cleaning it?

I'm sure the belts will need to be replaced and the deck cleaned and adjusted. :angelic:
I know that model is a !@#$%%## to work on too. :-/

Hi those are awesome sounding boxes ..I have one and would not part with mine ..they take 3 belts. You have to remove 2 boards just to get to the deck.it a mayor endeavor so if you have never done it its better for the pros to do it..now that you have it enjoy it since these are almost hard to come by and I dont belive its the rarity its mostly the great sounding warm pioneer sound you get from it
