It's here! From Bulgaria with Bubblewrap yet another grail from Tony  Packed in sheets of plastic, bubblewrap, plastic, styrofoam and tons of bubblewrap, cardboard, a thick layer of bubblewrap and another layer of plastic. Bulletproof! Unpacked it carefully so I can reuse the packaging materials

Looks fresh and minty  I really love the 909's design! The speakers are lovely :w00t: Everything else is clean and well-arranged. Classic silver and dope VU needles.
And the features are great. 6-band graphic equalizer :surf: The sliders are firm and click. It's got Dolby NR and then of course the full logic tape deck with oneside-repeat and music-repeat - which are similiar to auto reverse (correct me if I'm wrong). And a search system too! There's a lid on top which hides beat cut, rec mode/level and a timer standby which I don't know what it's for to be honest. Below the cassette slot are mic inputs left and right and the mixing volume knob. On the back there is line in (with phono/aux switch) and line out, the battery cover is on the bottom. The plug is plugged into the left side as are headphones if you feel like it.

Enough about looks and features - how does it sound? Frankly, pretty awesome! :breakdance:
The bass is incredibly tight and doesn't distort until you crank the volume over 4/5 :-O But not only the bass sounds superb, the highs are really crisp and clear and well the overall sound is just excellent at any volume level. I think this is going to be the boombox I'll take to Dessau this year.

There's only one thing that could be improved. It really should have two antennas cause they look so much cooler in pairs :-D

As long as the bass EQ isn't maxed out, right? :-P

Actually you really don't need to touch the bass EQ cause there's absolutely no need to boost bass :-D

Zippy, you have a greeting from Tony.
I talked to him on the phone now, that you received the boombox.
He is very happy that everything is okay.
Tony has no internet now, because there is a snowstorm.
Will soon be back online.
Goodbye.
