These are not my photos, Just scored one of these and ordered new foam surrounds -- what a sound, the output caps seen through the top in one photo are huge, heavy box built like a tank..what do you guys think, have any experiences or opinions to share? I just can`t wait for the foam to get here :-/

awesome box man! i think these big pioneers don't get enough credit for being just some of the most high end boxes around, i mean these pioneer component boxes are over the top bad ass wise ,one thing is for sure i have never seen a cheap or cheesy pioneer boom box ,most people don't know that pioneer is the worlds largest speaker manufacturer and they build speakers for many brands including high end car audio brands and pioneer also makes most of their own electronic components instead of assembling parts bought in bulk like most other manufacturers.

That was the box that was on eBay last week... Good to know somebody from here got it!

Nope, not the same one, the one on ebay had new foaming done, yes these are the pics from that auction. Mine is apart awaiting foam, I`m looking at it now.. :hmmm:

Will be sure to show before foaming and after, completed unit.

The CK-3 was the entry level unit from the CK series. Output is 12.5 watts rms per channel. This model comes without the weighted tuner dial and had Bass/Treble controls in lieu of the 5 band EQ. Nice box. :-)

That is a great score and you'll definitely enjoy it.

(Seen any black Sansui's of note? ;-) )

Hey Oldskool, hang tight I never forgot about you, never say never! :-/

I come across quite a few in my circles, I make trips out of town, scour kijiji , ebay (we all do) and have newly made contacts that can prove quite worthy.. that`s where the Pioneer came from..

If I ever come across another CP-7 in black, you will be the first to know.
I kinda wish I hadn`t sold it to DM4U , after seeing his collection (he has at least 150 +) would have rather shared with someone else.

On a side note, I will be receiving many parts machines ,all makes will list here for you guys to see first.. bought 40 from a guy in the US , some are repairable, some not, ones trhat are not will be listed here for parts :-)

Thanks Prime, I heard of you..Thanks much for the input, greatly appreciated, always nice to know ! Missed a beautiful SK-750 from my hometown last week, shipping would have been cheap for sure. Only needed belts, NM condition ..
Oh- well , can`t get `em all i guess?

ira, I am considering keeping what is left of my PC-5 , it looks good on my workbench shelf powering the minimus 7`s (why is it that the shoemaker always has the worst shoes?) lol nothing wrong with it spent much time on the deck, what a great unit! No plans to add original speakers , kinda like being the rebel I am!

Soooo, If I choose not to sell it, lets say I "may" have a handle here for you.. ;-)

Thanks for all your input guys, I am a techie of sorts , pretty good at this hobby for sure, lifelong electronics obsession has turned into fanatical searching and repairing of these wonders of the past. Each having their own qualities, all the same but different from the rest. That is what i love about this hobby!
If you guys ever need help with anything feel free to PM me !
