 a cool day then

It was great to meet Jimmy and catch up with Scotty, we had a few hours of booming and shooting the breeze, You 2 guys are welcome back anytime. We all agreed that next time Craig is in Oz we'll get together!

I fixed an issue with my Pannie 5600 with the help of Jimmy, and afterwoods got my Toshiba RT-S83 going, all in all a great day and we'll deffo do it all again soon.

Thanks for coming guys, and thanks to nz_boom for calling up while the meet was on. I hope it warms up down there for you soon Craig.

Yes, it was a great day. I feel more normal after talking to other people who actually care about boomboxes. I was amazed by Scott and Brians collections. I'm definately in the very early stages of boombox collecting but I'm now keener than ever to get more boxes!!!

Most of the grails were represented with some very clean boxes to view & play. Many of the boxes have travelled around the world to end up in these photos. ;-)

Due to Brians generosity, I walked away with a parts RX-D680 that has enabled me to get my Panasonic RX-D680 up and running 100%. Awesome!!!
Wow, these really are great sounding units with bass to spare and power a plenty.

I only took one photo, I forget with all the excitement to take more

Looking forward to the next meet. :-D

James.... :-)

Brian & James = Great guys. Thanks to Brian as well for hosting.

When fellow collectors come together and start talking...well...boxes, it feels like you have known that person for your whole life. Just connect on the level immediately which is super cool.

I'll post up some pics later...or tomorrow.
