I have a strong interest in language and history. I love the boxes from around the world. Many were manufactured for the western market,so all controls were labeled in English.
I am hoping to score a few of the more common affordable non-US models such as the Universum 8800 or 16000,I saw an ISP STR-850 that I liked.
Anyone got anything labeled for markets other than german or english speaking?

(I would have driven the 8 hours for that telefunken..ha)

Thanks boomboxery

I don't have any, but I know quite a few members have Japanese labeled boxes.

I've never seen German ones... you got pics of those?

Universum made a lot of boxes, and it seems about half of them are labeled in German.

I wonder how many languages were labeled on boxes around the world?

I have seen Russian, French, German, and Japanese. That's it. Might be more, but I kinda doubt it.

crazygamer is that yours? I see a common location. I really like it. Thanks for the tip.
I would buy it from the website but I have had bad luck with customs charges from some countries. Can you offer advice for Estonia shipping?.
I have a small soviet box but it doesn't have radio. But it has the same swirl-pattern speakers. I wonder if this one will tune in US.

T-STER , I could only dream of a Japan M70. oh man..

Imagine if there are Italian,Arabic,Greek...
Probably beautiful boxes somewhere.....or just a pain to repair..

Hello, no it´s not mine, my friend sells it. It looks awesome, but is with bad build quality and it doesn´t work sadly so it´s sold as is. Russian electronics, whatca gonna do. It turns on but all it does is just hum. Cassette spins and kinda plays on this but all you get is hum. :-/ What small soviet box it is ? There were many types of them.

My Russian box is this little red one. I am also selling it for the same reasons, lightweight build and unable to test. I would prefer a Universum in it's place.
