Photos Of The Toshiba WX-1 (So Far)

Hi everyone-Here's the photos of my Toshiba WX-1 so far.
I've just basically cleaned it up well & am now looking for antennas & a tape door.
Soon I will be buying the surrounds (within a month or 2) & really want some original antennas otherwise I will buy aftermarkets or close ones.

I'm so looking forward to fixing this up & making it sing nicely!

cut a piece of grey or bronze tinted plexi to fit--

i have done that with plenty of my 'doorless' boxes-
and its looks pretty good

That's not a bad idea Ira but I don't have the expertise of manufacturing such an item.
But I believe I WILL find one!

Hell-I'll just buy another WX-1 if I have to but I think maybe it wil happen.

Could you take a close up of the tweeters? Mine don't look like yours. I have those damn flat discs or piezo tweeters in my radio. Have patience looking for those parts. They will come for sure but not overnight. Good luck in your search. If I find another Wx-1 I'll post it. Lately I've had great luck in finding parts and I don't mind helping others making there Boombox dreams come true.

Its not impossible to have door. I was so close to buy one WX for spares but the seller checked the suckPAY prices and cancelled the selling (it was local add and ive ordered it whit "pay on delivery" option) . So another one will pop up . There is a hope always .

are those tweeters in one piece? How bad do you want the "original" speakers? What size would you say those rotted woofers are? Are the radiators bad too? I couldn't tell in the pictures if the radiators are ok or not. I might PM you later on a swap if interested. Boogie's out of his friggin mind!!! Somebody stop me!!!

Hi Jboogie-That would be really cool if I could get original WX-1 woofers!
My radiators are in great shape!
I unfortunately can't do anything financially until around July 20th-30th. as I have to buy another used car for work(travel).
I again would love good condition woofers-as long as there isn't any surround rot & they're not blown or tore -up.
Let me know what your thinking & I also need condensor mic covers,I forgot to add I need those.

I do have to tell you I will be keeping my original tweeters & may just buy the surrounds as I know mine are all original.
I do want to keep the original drivers,hope you understand.

Mine is 100% original. But his came with real tweeters and mine came with those fake piezo tweeters. I could only imagine how much nicer those tweeters sound as opposed to mine. Oh well.
