Hi everyone-Here's the photos of my recent aquasition-The Pioneer SK-550 that I got for $30.50!!
This thing rocks and I just love the quality of the sound & the cassette deck works fantastic as well!!
The thing has line-in/aux. and line out and 3 way voltage!
So easy to work on-that I like!! :thumbsup:
The belts look new and it just works great now after I freed up the deck & plugged in everything good-it rocks! Just needing the dial light and the litlle circuit board for the music scanner.
I think I may have a new camping boombox for this fall!!!!!

Great score Jeff! That looks super nice!
I can't decide whether I like the black grills on yours or the silver grills on mine more... I best have both then I guess!

Excellent price too and a super worthy addition to the collection.

I think because there was like 3 of these for sale at the time I got lucky!
I had a feeling when it said estate sale that maybe this thing just sat along time,I think my assumptions were correct.
I really like it,I was listening to a rare cassette of A Flock Of Seagulls this morning & it sounds great!
It will be super cool when I replace the dial light!

That's a great looking box. Ultra modern design, very cutting edge for the time period. All functioning and working... What an awesome score!

It would be pretty cool to see another painted 550 around. The only problem is you loose some text after it is painted :-/ . Still looks great anyway.

This one is on my "want" list.
It looks like fun with those cool sliders and that classy business look of a square grill partially obscuring the speaker,
So that just the shiny trim and dust cap gleam through.
It is a true work of art.
The design reminds me of the GE 3-6035
I will definitely get one when I have the chance.

Most will agree Pioneer boxes are in a league of their own.
Unique styling and superior build quality as well.

Congrats she looks real nice.

This is a really nice,loud sounding boombox!!
I now have it next to my CK-5II!! :-P
Now to get a SK-900!!
I really like Pioneers,especially since my home stereo is a Pioneer SX-V90 home reciever I bought brand new in 1987'!
