Hi, I am interested in these boxes, and there is one available local to me that I can buy if I so wish. I think the one for sale is a D8623. Does anyone know of any physical differences between these two models?

Both models look exactly the same, in fact I can't tell which one this is...

Thanks for the reply, Börny.

I can't remember where I got the picture from, stereo2go I think.

How can you tell that one's a D8614 and not a D8623?

I really like that Philips building above, it's design is of the 1970's Brutalist style of architecture which I like so much.

I'm interested to hear whether anyone has compared the sound of one of these boxes to a D8634. If so, is there a difference? Which is better?

Thanks for the link, Roman! Now I really don't know which I like best! The D8634 is definately more classic and older looking, which is nice. I was intending on replacing my D8634 with the D8614/D8623 that is for sale locally. My D8634 has a broken handle. Plus, I like the chrome bits on the D8614 more. I personally prefer round woofer grilles to full ones, but after seeing both boxes together I really don't know which I like best!!

A question which might help me decide what to do... Does the D8614 have a light on the tuner pointer like the D8634? I really like that feature.
