Picked this up today at the closest thrift shop for the price of a cup of coffee..... gave it a polish, thought it came up nice.

Really love it!

I also just picked up an cubiccompo.

But crazy the export model is looking so different.
Mine has servo tapedeck, your 3xequalizer.
The speaker covers are different.
Yours has a "normal" grip, mine get pulled up in the middle.

But both are :superduper:

Well I had it in pieces last night trying to work out why the cassette mech was jammed on play, one of the plastic drive cogs has completely disintegrated, this old girl will never play tapes again, unless I find a working deck to replace it with. It seems they used a very poor quality plastic for some of the deck cogs.

A real shame.

Shane I don't have a chook shed, I have a 12 x 6 garden shed, already slowly filling with parts boxes.

Great stuff, Terry! Love this one.

Philips seem famous for these decks with cogs that are made of rubbish.
The three speaker Philips has exactly the same issue.

I wonder is it's the same cog?

haha oh wow. saw this on the bay and 50 bucks later i see that it was just a cup of coffee to you brian. shoulda check here first and seen that it was infact yours and offered you two cups of coffee!

By the way can i pick it up next year when i have to go over that side of town?
