Got a nice Philips AZ1316 CD Soundmachine today for $20.

It has:
-DBB bass boost
-casssette deck
-CD player
-plays CD's/CD-RW/MP3 CD's
-digital tuning for the radio
-Bass Reflex Speaker System

The sound quality with DBB on is awesome-lots of bass and loud.

Sure a good sounding "box".
The DBB was always strong at PHILIPS.

To sad about the missing classic style and the SpatialStereo. :-/
But time is moving on....

Thanks for the comments about my Philips.

I like the fact it plays MP3 files that have been recorded to a CD, yet while having a tape deck to play back any of my cassettes.

Thanks for the links to the specs and user manual, devol-toni.

And here's a photo of the internals:

it came apart very easily to let me take the internal photo-philips head screws are used in this Philips boombox .

On some older Philips boombox models, Torx screws were used.
