Lol, so I had/have about 15 boomboxes that I've scooped up over the years & most of them I restored with new belts, antennas, etc.

With the hurricane that just hit us, I got a call from my storage unit letting me know that my stuff is underwater!

So I guess it's time to start over on this collection. And a few more that I had in storage, as well.

sorry to hear that , too bad you cant save any for parts , i know its hard when there all wet ,. what type boxes did you lose?.

Don't write them off just yet. Blast them with clean water (not the speaker cones) and dry them out thoroughly- then assess the damage.

Here's how my friend dusts out his computer. And yes it works! Just don't mix electricity and voltage.


If you're old enough you will remember Hurricane Agnes hitting Philly. You'll get through this one too.

i agree with this used to wash high end walkmans in the bath and dry them, i know this must totally suck, good luck dude

what boomboxes are they???
