Has PayPal ever put a hold on your account for no apparent reason other than "mulitple unique transactions"?!??! I have a hold that started about middle of last week and wont remove till approx January 13!!!

Only issue is I use my PayPal account to fund ALL Ebay activities. Some buyers are okay and others want a refund which is fine, but it has a HOLD!!!!!! :'-(

I'm starting to hate trying to sell anything on Ebay.

Just venting, this makes me crazy and is the second time this past year they have done this to me!!!

ive had the same thing happen i contacted pal pal and from what they told me it had a hold do to an e check
didnt really help me much but it cleared two days later

If I had deep pockets I wouldn't mind, but if I sell something it is to ship something or buy something else.... who knows... I have offered any buyer of mine 10% off future purchases and free shipping

Was it a big ticket item that sold? I've never had it happen to me. But, I imagine that if you were selling basic stuff and then all of a sudden had a really big amount, they might put a hold on it. Just an idea...

Never had it happen to me but I've heard plenty of stories about this, some deserved and some not from what I knew. If your a member in good standing I don't understand why they would do this except Paypal/eBay have certainly slanted heavily in favor of the buyer. I've backed off my selling by at least 75% since these latest eBay changes including the heavy fee increases.

The way they explained it to me was I used my debit card as credit too many times and it only sends a 1.00 charge to make sure account is open and then it takes severeal days to clear and in order to protect themselves they temporary place a hold on the account - with NO access to the funds in there

Now I have multiple cancellations for goods, which is okay but bothersome to me.
