passed on a FREE Hitachi yesterday... YOU GO GET IT!

I was in Brighton, having just done the London to Brighton cycle ride & happened across a Hitachi TRK8290 (or something very similar) in the front of a house amongst a load of stuff (toys, etc.) with a sign saying "take what you want, it's all free". The boomer looked OK & had it's own sign on saying "tape doesn't work, but radio has very good sound quality".
I had no way of carrying the thing, so had to leave it :sad:

If you're in the Brighton area, it might still be in Egremont Place

I need one of those slider caps for mine, been impossible to get one so seeing this for free is like driving a stake through my heart. :'-( :'-(

I found one more thing, i have not posted in the flea thread.
For an good friend and his little band.
An nice oldskool guitar amplifier. Very big and veeeerrrry heavy! :-O
Size like an MasterBlaster, but twice as heavy.
And very cheap.
I took it home - at my :vespa:
