i just bought one on ebay for ten bucks.
i've been using this plastic radio shack cheapy.
think it's an scp 56.
perhaps the new purchase will run! ha.

i will when it shows up.....and WORKS!!!!


i just bought a panasonic boom box that the guy said was all there, and when it showed up only one side was working.....and counter belt was broken...i opened it up and cleaned the switches and pots and checked for loose wires and couldn't find one...it's playing out of the headphone jack both sides, so it must be some issue with the output amp or wiring...shucks.

now to try to find a repair person in seattle.

that one side sounded really good.

I had a box where the headphone jack itself was cutting the speaker off, the bypass contacts weren't working in the jack when they were touching each other.

a kind fellow on here hepped me to hose it down good with contact cleaner and work the plug in there about a hundred times, and BOOM....it started booming!!!
