Only one speaker working when on radio

Picked up a 3 piecer today (CD Box) .. CD works great but on radio it only comes out of one speaker (cd comes out of both)

whats the go joe ?

+ 1. In some cases, the function switch supplies L/R power to the selected component. Most of my Hitachi's are designed this way.

Are you saying to deoxit the power switch ?

Well, give all the switches & controls a good cleaning & it'll probably sort it out.

got a 1986 sony cd box with exactly the same fault,but switch cleaning has made not a difference

All switch cleaning including the long 'record switch' should do it.
