I just picked this up locally for cheap, and it's MINT condition/like new...and a1 owner box :-D . I just love the sound of these...i like the sound so much i got rid of most of my BIG kabooms, and only kept the smaller ones...the blinking lights are also super cool

When I clicked this thread I expected to see a square blaster!
I still need to get a kaboom (or at least hear one) ;-)

Love it.

Saw the thread and decided to pull out my B90, since my neighbors are all on vacation. Thanks.

I've never heard any other Kaboom model, but I'd imagine they all pretty much drive the neighbors nuts.

Keep your eyes peeled - you might find one locally. I picked mine up about a year ago for pretty cheap. It was "slightly abused," but they're pretty easy to fix (replace parts, etc.) and really nice to work on, as far as boomboxes are concerned.

Nice score Gordie :-) I want to hear what these sound like, never heard one before. I like the lit up dust caps on the woofers, and the colors are nice, man is there anything you DON'T have??? Lol

These units are awesome!!! There's a couple of reviews on YouTube on KaBooms. If you've never heard one, you are missing out on what a boom box really should sound like (IMO). If you can't find one to listen to, then go to you big electronic / appliance store and give a listen to the Sharp GX-M10. They are very similar in sound, but decades apart. I think the first generation of KaBooms are the best (more power). If you come across one, buy it! Currently I own two RV-B90's. And I'm always looking for more (working or not).

I have the same one, Gordie, only it's a Victor and it's not translucent or a blinky one. Not the best sounding of the Kabooms bass wise, or so I've heard here on Boomboxery. I want another one, though, because Prime's treble hack just screams to be done to one of these.

Why do they do this with EVERYTHING!

The first gen's are always the best and then quality and power falls.

ANYWAY, the KaBoom's BOOM!

At some point I will soil my square collection with one because they are THUNDER. Built for bass!

I would definately reccomend one of these, I have 2 of these older style RV-B90 models with tape deck and one of the newer models with the Ipod dock (excuse my swearing) and a USB slot. The older 52 watt tape ones are the best sound wise, the new 40W models still pound as well tho.
