I'm just curious. If you were to show up at the Vegas meet you would expect to see M90s,

JVC.jpg

C100's,

Conions.jpg

etc. Do you desire to be the one who shows up with that unusual box for people to look at? If you are going or were to go, what box would/could you bring that would be "one of a kind"?

If I were to go, I would not take the worldly grails as I would expect to see plenty duplicates. I would take this box.

or maybe this one

I would think these would be the only ones there possibly?

Anyone else care to share a box that they think would be "out of the norm" box?

That would certainly do it Reli :-) Never seen one of those.

I've always been a stickler for being drawn to boxes I've never seen before. I keep seeing the same boxes lately and I am sure there are many more of us who feel the same way. We all know the top tier boxes that (most) everyone lusts over but what about the unseen and somewhat forgotten unusual and different ones?

I think Nick could just about take anything he has and probably be assured there would be no duplicates :-)

I hear ya man, I love the grails just as much as the next guy, but as the years go by I am also drawn to more unique and different models.

At the 1st Vegas meet I tried to take models that the other fellas didn't have. We tried to not take duplicates to keep the variety fresh.

2 of the boxes that I took we're these...

The OSAKA discolite, and the chrome LASONiC 931 iPod version. Although the iPod LASONiC's are a dime a dozen, there's only 1 other chrome one out there besides mine so I felt it fit right in to the "rare" category. Not sure what I will take this year, but hopefully something unique :-)

For something of that magnitude no pre-made box will do. it must be a custom made box, for me anyhow.

I just can't blend in with the crowd when it comes to boomboxes.
Mine must have an extra something that makes mother ****ers say goddamn!.

Those are some very interesting boxes for sure. I also cant wait to see pictures from the event.

Boomboxes are like motorcycles in a way. It's always nice to see what someone has come up with :-)

That is true boom boomboxes and custom bikes are a lot alike that's why I follow the true and only Legend Indian Larry . He was the best in the world he didn't care if he won or lost and didn't sweat anything in between and helped anybody he could too bad you know what happened to him in the end. Indian Larry was the only undefeated Biker Build-Off champion. One time he would cut up the trophy and threw it to the pieces to the crowd.

Yea bro it does, but the sliders are actually "dual", so each pair you see is actually 1 slider, same goes for the volume sliders. Its all mostly looks, but its a cool box. Not sure what other boxes have that left and right feature, but I'm sure there's others

Dave's makin me regret selling him the MX-9 lol, I got that MX-9 from James JustCruisin, I didn't use it much so I sold it to Dave. Man that box gets around haha

This one, maybe? :-)

"out of the norm" - sure, :w00t: and not rather
a box - no handle, AC power only, but powerful enough
for a street blasting. :-)

That's awesome Slo. I'm a little surprised I haven't seen that in a box before, or really much of anything. You'd thing being able to equalize left and right separately might be appealing to some people for mixing or producing a certain stereo effect.

Pretty pointless being able to alter the equalisation of each channel individually but it is unique and a cool feature anyway. :-)
Very nice looking box BTW!!!!!

You’d have to make sure both sets of equalisers are set the same each time you make an adjustment.
