OMG-I Finally Got A JVC RC-M60JW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all-I just got my first JVC RC-M60JW!!!
I truly just love this boombox!
It had a slightly broken power switch which I quickly fixed,now it's working perfect and is in near mint shape!!
The seller had a tape stuck inside but when I first powered it up it stopped and opened up for me!
Then with some cleaner and some use it seems to be working perfect now!!

Man is this thing something-2 motor full logic control,remote control and all the hook-ups you'll ever need!
I have it all cleaned & detailed now and there will be photos tomorrow!
I now have 1 of the 12 must haves on my boombox list-HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I absolutely ecstatic about this as I now have 2 M50's,1 M60,2 M70's,& 1 M-90!
Now for the M-80 and I will have completed the M series!!
Yes I do have the M-60's cousin-The JVC RC-656JW also!!
Boombox heaven this weekend!!

Congrats GB the 60 is a cool if not somewhat plain looking box, I like the idea of having each model from that series.

This really has nice sound to-not really loud but has a nice deatiled sound.
Has seperate bass & treble and Bi-phonic!
These to me are special because I love the silver look,sometimes plain is nice!

Just picked up a Crown csc950 for $30!!!!!!!!!!!! Needs some cosmetic surgery but works a treat............. Looks like a good omen for boombox hunting this weekend!!!! Photos to come.............

Now this has turned BAD!! After 5-10 minutes the power goes way down and has a bad power supply!!
Eveb after a couple of minutes the stereo light goes out and if you turn up the volume at all it like sounds horrible and then just literally dies so you can't even hear it!
I'm practically in tears right now! :'-( :'-(
I know about the deck being bad and it was running for a while and has now stopped to!
I'm just having a string of bad luck with e-bay lately!
This really hurts as this was on my wish list and have been looking for one of these for over a year and now when I find one-it's crap!
It's in such nice shape-it's a darn shame!
I think I'm going to go cry now!!!! :'-( :'-( :'-(
The seller has 100% feedback to and now I has to open a claim!

Hi Tim-I appreciate your kind offer but this is a M-60 not a M-80.
I did already get a full 100% return!!!! This has to be the fastest refund and e-bay decision I've ever seen in my life!!
I now have all 127.50 in my PayPal account and it is now case closed!! WTF!?!!
I'm a little more happy now.
Thay didn't even ask me to send the box back?
Crazy!!
The boobox won'teven light up the stereo light now at all and virtually won't even sound much at all!!
Wow this power supply is very bad-must have some seriously leaking caps!
Now I have abox I can either fix ir get fixed or sell for parts.
I do appreciate your offer Tim-It's just so hard because these are hard to find and it's in such nice condition!
Just seriously happy that I got all my $ back!!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune with this box, Jeff.... You do seem to be having a run of not-so-good luck on ebay lately.

If they don't want the box back, I recommend pulling out the P/S and posting pics of it here. Maybe another member will recognize it as being in other units. I'm sure you'll end up with a replacement eventually.

Oh, on a semi-related note... having cassette tapes in common and talking about completing a series.... I recently picked up a local Nakamichi RX-202 for a song that needed a new idler tire. A $4 part purchase from eBay and 45 minutes of work later and I now have a collection of all three Nakamichi RX series tape decks! Not sure if you are familiar with these, but the RX Naks are the unidirectional auto-reverse decks that have that middle tray that opens up and flips the tape rather than rotate the head. I already had an RX-505 and RX-303. All three decks work like new!

Hi Jaetee! Thanks for kind words-I'm already ahead of you on this!
I have all the photos taken and am taking some outside shots of how nice this thing is-hopefully someone will want to donate so I can have a heart transplant and a needed diode for the deck-yes I have hopes of getting her going again-I just have to now that it's free!!
I'll be posting these by late tonight!
It's so weak now that on AC it won't even sound!
But on batteries you can run it up to about 1.5 to 2 on the volume then it goes bad!
Thanks for all your kind words on this but getting all of my money back & getting the box for free-this made a bad day(yesterday) go good!
This is a beautiful boombox,needs theparts!

BTW-Yes I know about the omni-directional Nak. decks-my friends dad had a super exspensive rack system with the best studio Nak components and the venerable Bose 901V series speakers! BTW-I was the only one that could figure how to turn it all on!!
Wish I had a Dragon!!
