This is a question I'm not sure how to ask clearly.
Umm... okay so I'm looking into buying some cds of a couple artists I for some reason never had.
I know I've heard many discs with "remastered" song are usually no good. But what about some of the first cds from the 80's? Most likely used, but if I were to buy say... a Sam Cooke cd, would you pick one made in 1986, or 2003 with "remastered" tracks?
Is there a general cutoff year when the started screwing things up? And would a cd from the 80s still likely be any good, as far as functionality and deterioration goes?
