New Zealand Dollars were not worth much at the time.

My 20 seconds of research says 1984 $US equivalent pricing would be about 40 percent less.

Even so, some of those radios seem expensive.

Nice work finding these nz boom... I've been trying to find old 80's magazines with Boombox ads in them with no luck so far.

great to see the ads and the boxes.....ive got a few old argos catalogues with all the old boxes in.....alas,i dont have a home computer and i have no way of scanning pages at the library sadly.but if you check retromash.com they are all on there sorry if i hijacked your post nz,i really appreciate you putting your ads(and the actual boxes)on-great idea and a fantastic thread
