Because the stations in my town may be Butt.
but the ones in the next town over are not that bad.

I know what I was thinking, I bought it for $4 at GW and sold it for $79 on ebay. :thumbsup:

Great score! The cool thing about a lot of the older mono radios is that you got bass and treble controls as well!!! :thumbsup:

i have got one and let me tell you. at night time i can pick up stations in places i cannot believe.
i have even picked up new jersey on this radio and i live in vancouver canada.
the power switch on these wears out and usually there is a after the fact power switch added to them.
these radios hold there value and well in many cases well you can make money of these radios. usually when they turn up in a thrift store they go for five to ten bucks.
listen man expect the power switch on that radio to break but replace it if it does.
theres not many radios i have that can dx as good as that one.
i mean for am reception it kills pretty much any boombox i have.
theres a couple of really nice sony radios i have that are also in the running for dxing but this ge super radio has really really good am reception. as i say at night time you will be able to get channels you would have thought impossible to receive before.
