Hi there,been dealing with some frustration lately and so today there us a Lennox Sound CD-100 pos box on my porch which to make work you have to work the controls to death for there to be clear sound! :) The CD did work and Tuner but cassette bad belt, sounded like a transistor radio so guess what?? It took the brunt of 2 slam downs with my shoe right on top of the CD player door on its poor precious little Psarchophoghous!!
Oh well looks a little rough now but I did feel a little bad at first but I'm just not quite sure now!! (lol) :)

If that guy who borst the Sony only realised that the linear VAM unit in there can cost over £300 for a genuine Philips replacement and that they're sought after by people who service Rowe-AMI CD jukeboxes, maybe he'd have done a Hello Kitty egg instead..

Now I feel kind of bad for that waterproof Sony but this Lennox Sound made that Sony look like a grail.
I couldn't bust up a decent Sony like that as it could have been restored but the Lennox Sound=extremely poor!! :(
I may show the photos of the aftermath,mines still in one piece but has some nice damage!! :)

Sled and laser assembly. Rowe-AMI, who use that same rough duty transport chassis in many of their best boxes and he wouldn't, which is how he really should have left it alone or removed the expensive-looking shiny bits before smashing up the rest of the thing.
It just pisses me right off when someone commits to an act of wanton destruction without putting in any research beforehand. Yes, it may well be a fugly, modern POJ, but its death could instead have kept a classic piece of equipment running for many more years to come. :-D

For sure Chris, 'cos my woman stays in her own house and we're not married, so by the time she comes round to mine when she needs some companionship and/or money, those wonderful landfill finds have been repurposed and disguised as stuff that's always been here!
