I wonder what kind of math is used to compute 18w rms equalling 330watts pmpo? I mean, why stop at 330? Let's just advertise an even 400!? :w00t:

:agree: you noticed that too huh? lol , the middle part looks ok but the speakers are ugly as sin maybe some more classic looking speakers and it would almost be acceptable .

if they could have just made the speakers flush with the middle section it would have been ok. i am nor a fan of the wierd trapezoid shaped speakers.
what is cool about this boombox is the fact it has a tape section and a anlalog tuner

That was my first thought SD, couldn't help but laugh.

It's not bad considering what crap is being produced now. ;-)

I think Sinister might have a dissenting view on the ugly part.... :w00t: :sin: :sin: :w00t:

That looks like a brand new current production model. I'm shocked to see 2 cassette decks and no CD player....

Man, that box is wack! Other than having a handle and accepting batteries, it looks no different from those bullsh!t shelf systems manufacturers have been selling in the past 10+ years or so. When are these companies gonna give up on these corny-ass wannabe futuristic designs and make something somebody would be proud to show off?

That said, Panasonic needs to do a case study by placing that new P.O.S. next to one of their best late 70's/early 80's boxes on an electronics store shelf and see which one the people gravitate more towards. Sure, the new box will sound better, but which one would people wanna go home with? ;-)

Well, it's the Indian Panasonic Site. Looking at the navigation header, one can surmise that if this is outdated, probably not by that much since Digital AV isn't all that old. Certainly way newer than the last tape only machines were around.

Home > Products & Solutions > Digital AV > Portable Audio > Radio Cassette Player > RX-CT65

There's a RX-CT650 listed on Panasonic Malaysia:

Don't know how long this has been available for.

It's extremely unlike this and the CT65 will see a US release.
