notha tuna question !! ??

last night --after years of trying

i finally got a station from 60 miles away -
to deliver a dead on balls super clear fm stereo signal
the separation is amazing//thrilling

so............i have not touched it in 30 hours

because - if i move anything --
( the box or the antennas or the tuning dial )
i may NEVER get it back -- this good again.

the question is --
is this a freaky lucky streak ?
or can a tuner 'LOCK-IN' for a once-in a -lifetime pick-up ?????????????

Well, you know how tuners can drift out of alignment? Well, maybe yours drifted out of alignment, then drifted back again..

OR maybe the atmospheric conditions were perfectly aligned for the pefect reception storm?

OR maybe your aluminum siding panels blew away in the last storm ??

the only logical//scientific cause --would be the atmosphere -
is is clear and cold down here --

i have shut the box power on/off about 20 times --
cant really listen to these rappers for 30 straight hours

and it still saves the station.

Yeah, my guess would be the clear, night sky. That definitely helps.

The stars aligned for you. If I had time I'd go into radio tower broadcast issues (I used to work for American Tower, Jaetee knows who I'm talking about) and antenna alignment to address terrain etc.

Hey Ira-It's like when I'm at Holiday Isle in-Islamorada MM84 in the keys.
I usually used to use the JVC-PC-55JW and you have to get the antennas just right and then I can get Power 96 and Hot 105 and then also in the day Dance station 93.1.
All located near you Ft.Lauderdale 90 mile away from where I was!!.Once you get it in-leave it alone!!

Hi Ira-BUT how about Back in the 80's with Phil Jones!!
I have many special spring break tapes from the 80's!!
Power 96 so ruled back then!!!
That's why I would bring the JVC PC-55JW!!
