The good news is , it fully works but needs a big clean .

Yep - that's crap packing.

I've had one delivered looking like that before (without the token piece of bubble wrap) and you are just so thankful in hasn't been smashed up.

If that came from an ebay seller, can you tell us who it was? I've found that boxes I buy via ebay.de are not packaged as good as ones that I get here in the US. My Hitachi (now Freddie's) and Sharp GF-9191HB came from two different German sellers and were packaged in very similar, flimsy fashion... It's too bad. I think bubble wrap and other good packing materials are not as easy to find and purchase (esp. cheaply) in Germany as they are here....

That's shiaty packing period, always glad to hear when these boxes aren't damaged. Do these people really think this is adequate packing when they put it together or are they knowingly beeing extremely lazy and cheap?

I have like the worst luck. Invariably, whenever I open a box and see newspaper, the boombox is done, finito, damaged, smashed, cracked, whatever. I think only 1 or 2 smaller boxes have made it intact. All others that are larger than tiny 4 cell varieties have become damaged. This is far too common and unfortunate to see our dwindling boombox population become endangered species with shipping a major contributor.

SD, this is completely unnecessary damage due to lazy or careless people.

When i did the function check i was stund by that rich and full sound those speakers put out . I did not listen very long (no time, work ) , i want to clean it first and then give it a long session with some taps and my fav radiostations.

I was lucky on this one , it survived without a scratch .

I just bought some car parts off of ebay where the seller charged $22 for USPS Priority shipping. All of the parts fit in the small flat rate box so essentially the seller made about a $12 profit off of shipping.

Oh man what a job 2 clean up this one .

But i think it ´s no so bad after all it fully works and sounds (for my personal surprise )great .

Never ever thought that those oval speakers sound this rich , its absolutly amazing

I love it for its different look .
