Back in the '90s I picked up a couple of 16mm projectors from a school auction so I could play some old movies I had acquired.
I hadn't touched them since, but noticed how cheap movies go for on ebay so I'm starting to build a collection. I'm installing a new motor belt for the other unit since that seemed to have gone bad over the years, so that one is in a bunch of pieces right now, but the other one still works!
I had to create a converter cable to take the audio out of the only jack available, which was meant for an actual speaker. So, I created an attenuator with a 1K and 10K resistor, patched it through the line-in jack on my field recorder and then into the Nikon. I played a few snippets from a pile of old classroom films from the LA school district in this video
