thanks i am rather enjoying its sound right now.
it for sure sounds better than the boxed dd i have allthough that is a cool walkman in its own right.
this dc2 is not clicking but it does for sure tick. i suspect some day the gear will go on it but for now its working really quite nicely. the unit is also in pristine shape. nearly passed it up after the wonderful grundig radio i plugged in failed to work i almost did not notice it.
glad i scooped this one tho. its pretty cherry.

this walkman is not super clicky right now. i mean there is a faint tick but... it does sound extremely nice as a tape player.
it really does sound good.
i would not pay hundreds of dollars but i for the four bucks i spent on it i am pretty happy with it.
the sound stage of this walkman compared to a ipod is amazing.

i kind of think if you have a box with a dead deck this is kind of useful. it has a actual line out along with the headphone jack.
so if you have a box with deck that needs love and want to play your tapes you can use this one quite effectively.
the thing that i dont get with this series of walkman is they were called professional walkmans.
i am still trying to think about what professional uses a walkman that does not record would be.
i mean i guess if you were rich enough to have one back in the day you could call yourself a professional walkman listener.
i cant lie tho as nice as i think this unit sounds i seem to remember owning a aiwa walkman that sounded nicer than this one.
