Norm is my new BFF! WHY?

A couple months ago, before my school quarter started, I was was thinking of doing some cleaning up and trying to help my poor poor M90's line in/phono switch to work. I PM'd Norm to as him if there was some kind of youtube or something showing people like me how to do this.

Thanks to him, I decided to NOT practice on my $1K box and send it to him. OMG. SO GLAD I DID. I would say I LOVE Norm. But it's probably not OK to do this, especially because he's married and I really just love him, because now my M90 is SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOOOO much of a DREAAAM!!!!

And you know, he really didn't have to help me. And the BS he put up with was INSANE! Apparently, there was a HORROR FLICK of DEAD cockroaches POURING OUT of the thing when he took it APART!!! No wonder the thing smelled like butt when I took the back off of it. Poor Norman. I bet he puked a little in his mouth. WHAT HE PUTS UP WITH from US MEMBERS!!! Really...

AND I do SO APPRECIATE Norm's willingness to help me in my ANTICIPATION of AWESOMENESS!!!

Just imagine: pining for one of these for a few years, figuring out a way to buy one, getting it home, then you can't listen to your vinyl or anything else on it... Watching it sit there thinking, "Oh, I'll figure this ship out and fix it when I get some time..." And it sits there for six months....

NOW it's AWESOME!!!

I love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. Listening to JT right now. Was listening to Prince earlier. The BASS is SUPERIOR! Rich and balanced.

I love you, Norm. Yup. Sorry if this is embarrassing to you Norm, but it's true. (hehehe)

Yes, I peeled that off at the beginning of the summer and the chrome under that GAWHD awful contact paper is probably the part of this box that is in the best condition.

Norm did say this thing had a rough life. Let's cross our fingers and hope it will continue to live long and prosper.

Sine qua non, ne plus ultra, the shizzle, whatever you want to call him he is above all indispensable, both as a friend and a resource. He repaired my Sanyo 9998, coaxed it back from the dead, he did. Even told me what would EVENTUALLY go wrong so I could have a part ready from yet another member for when that happens.
His postings are like little knowledge nuggets, so well layed out they are. Indispensable, yes, flat out indispensable with kindness that runs to the bottom of his heart.

Just take my advice though, and never lose a part he sends you. Never, never, never, ever. It's not pretty.
