Do you see a lot of these threads?
"Hi. I just joined and I want to see the for sale forum, but I have to post something first." :annoyed:
I'm just surfing about for a Sanyo M9990 like the one I used to love way back when men's hair was long and their shorts were short. Flip flops had rainbow stripes that didn't mean anything. Cars were bitchin and gas was cheap. And I always always had a bad-ass portable radio. What ever happened to all my radios? And when are those sexy little shorts coming back?
See you around. :afro:

Welcome aboard, dude. The M9990 is very collectible and some of the asking prices reflect that. They show up fairly often on eBay. Look to spend at least $200+ on a nice unit. However, be careful. Once you find an M9990, you might find yourself wanting more boomboxes.

Oh, no joke! I'm learning fast that I seem to have good taste. I also have several units picked out already. lol Sadly, I really became interested in these over 5 years ago, but I was involved in VW collecting at the time and I have a one-track mind. I suppose they were much cheaper then?
No bother, really. I've longed for the Sanyo M9990 for over 20 years, I just couldn't remember the make & model until I finally stumbled over one this week in eBay.
$200+ dollars is pocket change for a toy you've wanted that frickin' long, believe me. When I saw it in that auction I was like, "Do you accept kidneys? Sperm? How 'bout a cornea?". :w00t:

Welcome :-)

Be patient, you will find your grail.
I also suggest you to find some free time to visit fleas, goodwill's etc, you may have luck to find that sanyo for an affordable price. :-)

Check Ebay Germany too, there are just as many boxes there as there are on US Ebay
