Apparently no one near me does! I spotted an ad on Craigslist 4 weeks ago that caught my attention: Shortwave boombox for sale. I watched it but I wasn't really looking for this particular box. Plus the pictures weren't great and the price seemed to good to be true. So I passed...... but I did do the right thing and alerted some of my local Boomboxery brethren. So imagine my surprise when I saw this box listed again and the seller was now seeming desperate. So I pounced and am now the proud owner of a very clean(or soon to be very clean ) Drumroll......

And do I dare mention $50....Owner told me he's had it for over 20 years. Tape runs a little slow and it's missing 1 antenna but for what I paid it's SWEEEEEETTT! Plus on Epay I would have paid that to ship the box!

DANG!! That Rising is one of the easiest boomers to work on. If the dial lights are shot, you can give it the cool LED mod too.

Would that have been in RI? There was one for sale a few weeks ago for $79 and the ad was up for quite some time, probably because it was mistakenly posted on Boston Craigslist when the box was in RI. I thought about snagging it but just didn't have the extra cash nor the time for a train ride down there. If that was it, I'm glad you got it and it fell in good hands; if not, then great score anyway!
