No posts about that Gold Conion just sold on ebay yet?

Hadn't seen anyones thoughts on it yet. One of my (and most) top 3 models, but in the crazy hard to find gold of course. Looks like it was in pretty good condition, but of course missing the tape deck cover, spare tape holder like a lot of C100s, and a missing knob or 2. Still got $920. I was in on some bidding for a bit, but wasn't ready to go that high on it. I just don't even recall seeing any for sale in the past 2 years. I'm sure I have missed some listings, but there can't be more than a few I'd think.

What I don't know about this box is, does it also have gold colored metal on the front? Or could you use a standard C100 deck cover and spare tape thing? Not that you ever have extras of those around, but I'd take them off my regular C100s to complete this Gold one of course. Then repaint some knobs and/or mold new ones to get that all good. I just think a complete, working 8/10 Gold C100 would be worth HUGE money. I would've killed to win this 1, but if the winner paid 920 for it, I'd bet their max bid was well over $1000. Guess even I have some kinda of conscience from time to time. But damn that Gold is just bad ass to me.

I'm more amazed at the M90 that went for $360 yesterday on Epay...

I don't know what makes these a "GOLD Conion", but my CONION microphone has a champagne-gold finish and my C-100F is obviously silver-grey.. I can see a big difference in color when it's sitting in front of it..

I was surprised it went for that much money considering all the defects. Yeah, it's a gold Conion, but to me, an incomplete gold Conion is worthless because of the near impossibility of finding replacement parts with the OEM gold color. Good on ya to whoever won it though.

and only if they needed the gold parts

It was gold it had a black tuner dial . But I agree about price because you will never find original colored door or drawer it was only 60 miles from me too

Thats not 100% Bill. My Conion was with black tuner dial and was silver

I would love to see better pics of that eBay unit.
The aluminum trim and knobs I believe should be gold finish as well.
That eBay units trim looks silver, but that could be due in part to the crappy photos.
