I really enjoy videos like this - where you get to learn the stories behind some of the most important music of our time. Thanks for posting, Chris. I see Don still has his guitar solo chops after all these years.

Wow! Very nice.... I really enjoyed the video!

I have a DVD with the best sound track of Hotel California on it..... it was their last performance.

Very cool! Blasters certainly have their place enshrined in history, this video talks about an iconic song and a boombox is an integral part, love it.

I have to agree with this wholeheartedly. It's not only the background info of the music that interests me but also the the 'where are they now?' & 'how did he/she/they form and get a footing into the world of music?' type of stories. Getting back to Hotel California, it's a fantastic song to listen to through headphones therefore benefiting from the experience of feeling surrounded in the music - almost like being involved.

Awesome find, Chris...! Love me some Don Felder! Good to see he's doing well.

Everybody back in the 70's used these baby's...they all owned nice ones! That pic in the boombox book a few years back of Springsteen waiting for his car to take him to The Record Plant...and he's got his boomer at his side, lol. It's how the music was written.

I remember Barry Gibb talking in Rolling Stone in the 70's about how he always played the final mix down on a boomer...to find out exactly what the average joe would hear when the work got bought and played. He said he sped up the final mix of Saturday Night Fever after playing it on his JVC, because it sounded slightly faster on the boomer...and he preferred it that way, lmao!

A slight tangent but for anyone who is a fan of The Eagles, should should watch the documentary/biography on Netflix.
Very interesting, and there couldn't be any better background music!
