As you know, over here in the UK we don't have markets like our overseas brothers (yes we're looking at you Deech

) so any find is a bonus.

Well i attended the local car boots today one at 7am (my only day for a lie in and i went car booting, i must be mad), left empty handed. Went to the afternoon one in my town and lo and behold i find a Pioneer SK-353L lurking on a table!

It has tone only which at first was disappointing but the sound is fantastic, really rich and solid bass and crisp highs, i was quite surprised. The condition is also really good. The only downside is the cassette dooe doesnt hinge 100% smoothly, I will have a look but may need to source a new door.
The cassette itself plays great. Quite happy with this for Sunday afternoon find.

Nice one indeed, even tatty versions with rusty grills are offered for small fortune on fleabay so you've done really well.

Very nice find! I have the 350 but the looks are better on this model.

I am still looking for a Pioneer from the 80s that had clock and can wake you up with a cassette playing for you. It was slightly bigger than this model but was looking more sophisticated.

That sounded awesome! One of my friends had it way back then...

They have this kind of strange model numbers.

Car boots? Swap meet?

Either way, amazing find! I need to get my butt out there and search for some more!
