Hey, I may get a bit of hate here because these aren't classics, but I am looking for a book box I can blast at my gym....

I have turned up
Sharp GX-M10
JVC NB50
Pioneer Steez

How do these compare to modern Bluetooth speakers? I have 2x Wking D8.

I did look into 80s style which to me is the best but it seems they would not be loud enough? Need something that can fill 1,000sqft room.

Any recommendations?

I think you'd be surprised. A JVC M70, M90, or Conion C100 would be louder than any of the ones you listed. The advantage of vintage boxes is they have strong mid-range frequencies which project great distances. Today's stuff just doesn't have that. They're all bass and nothing else.

The only modern speakers loud enough for a gym are the Bumpboxx Flare or Freestyle, and the larger Diamondboxx models. Oh and the Aiwa EXOS-9 which isn't as loud but is half the price.

The DP100 and DP200 were the best JVC's. Very similar to the Sharp, in fact some people say the Sharp was even better. Both are way better than the STEEZ. Lots of bass, good enough for any room. But I have my doubts whether they'd be loud enough for a gym. I mean are we talking a small company gym with only you and a couple friends? Or are we talking a basketball court?

You rate the TDK 3?

The gym is about 1/4th of a basketball court.
I am looking at getting a JVC DP200 and Sharp GX-MX10 unless there is any other suggestions?
