Hey all! Nothing beats a boombox! Great forum and joined after digging around. Just grabbed a Sanyo C-9 off the local Nextdoor for $50. Tape deck needs new rubber and some lube, but otherwise its in great shape. Into all kinds of e-restorations and tinkering but don't consider myself very good or knowledgeable.

Hi Pauly, I hope you find one. I was able to buy new belts and eventually figured out the tape deck selectors were gummed up. Got it all fixed up and played with the tape deck motor speed by ear until I got within a second of a 3 minute digital song...good enough for me! Works grand. I'm now looking for something new!
