Nice, but disposable. 
Who here will be able to replace a failed SMT component or find a replacement OLED display in 5 years?
If we can't, no one can -> city dump.
I collect things I can work on - and more importantly - things my kids can work on. Bring back through-hole electronics and service manuals!

This is why I have been reluctant to buy one, one broken part and it could be an expensive paper weight.

Is that correct and not a misprint? That config seems like a downgrade.
WTF are they smoking at TDK? And where is the subwoofer - in the back?

I do not own a TDK, I have seen them at the store, heard them very little. Sound was ok for what I heard, was not able to crank it up, 2 speaker model.
On this site, I have heard praise for them and I have also heard people having trouble with them, firmware issues. I have also seen them on Craigslist with "Issues" and I have seen them on eBay "As Is" or "For Part's or Repair".
With that said...for the price....$499.99 listed for the 3 speaker at FRYS Electronic's, I would buy 3 Lasonic 931BT's
1 to shiat on
1 to cover it up with
1 to listen too
and still have $50 for beer!
..and in the end, I will still have a Ghettoblaster that LOOKS like a Ghettoblaster, SOUNDS like a Ghettoblaster WITH TWEETERS and one that works (even if I leave it in the car and melt all the fake ass stickers on the fake ass tuner dial
)Now, with that said....if they are able to get these firmware "Issues" worked out and some of the hardware "Issues" worked out, I could see it being worth that kind of money and MIGHT even end up owning one myself one day. But $499.99 for a radio that has un-repairable problems
I'll wipe the doo doo off my spare 931BT first
