"Satch" could also refer to Horace Debussy Jones, "Slip" Mahoney's sidekick in the old Bowery Boys movies from the 40s. Now THAT's going way back. Used to watch them on b&w tv when I was a kid.

yep, it's satriani, i've had the nick for about 10 years now, was my nick on satch's site, still is i think but i've gotten away from satch in the past few years, become a big jazz fusion fan and vinyl collector, still love his early stuff, i have about 100 bootlegs of his and other assorted collectables, tks for the welcomes!!

So I won the guess! It IS Joe Satriani... great guitarrist bro... guitar teacher of such greats as Kirk Hammet (Metallica), Steve Vai and Larry LaLonde just to name a few! :surf:
